Cantonelle Ladies Choir is an amateur
ladies choir based in Carlisle, Cumbria. Cantonelle
arose from the demise of the long established
mixed-voice Carlisle Choral Society in 1993. The
choir currently has about 30 members and is conducted
by Jean Postlethwaite.

Repertoire
Cantonelle
give 6-8 concerts per year in a variety of venues in
north Cumbria. Our repertoire embraces classical,
operatic, musicals, spirituals and folksongs.
Our
programmes also feature items by other local
musicians and instrumental groups and we sometimes
take part in the Carlisle Music Festival. Please
